KUBE

Kinetic Utility Biologic Extinguisher. Large aerial automatons of unknown origin. They vary in size and somewhat in structure but usually appear as cuboid, or as vertical and/or horizontal rectangular AI constructs. Many display solar disks that emit radiation, lasers, heat, and electricity. Some are equipped with huge pincers used for eviscerating larger bio-forms or to destroy infrastructure.

The hull of a KUBE consists of an unknown compound that offers robust resistance to conventional weapons. They silently hover over land sea and air, destroying living matter and facilities alike. KUBES display a machine based intelligence as they have been observed deliberately targeting fleeing lifeforms and crafts, while avoiding and initiating counter attacks. It is unknown how KUBES communicate, it is simply assumed that they somehow do.

KUBES should be regarded as a planetary threat. They cofunction with celluloids (see separate entry), but their relationship is not fully understood. KUBES have only been observed on desolate planets, hence it is theorized that it is the KUBES themselves that have orchestrated the destruction.

Celluloids

Macro somatic spyware of unknown origin. They vary in size, ranging from as large as aircraft to as small as cellphones. They resemble a bulbus oculi encased in a mech-like membranous forewing. They drift in endless maneuvers through ruined cities and across dead worlds. They appear to cofunction with KUBES or Kinetic Utility Biologic Extinguishers (see separate transmission).

There are several class of celluloids. Some are wing dominant while others are mostly eye. All appear to be a peculiar blend of machine and flesh. Celluloids do not display any sign of higher intelligence, make no sound, and do not degrade over time. It is noted that they give off a rotting fish smell.

Though their purpose remains a mystery, they seem to have emerged from the lower chords of reality as they have only been observed on derelict planets. I have yet to encounter a celluloid infested ecosystem with human life.
