New cover...

htp (peace)

...so the books with the new cover arrived (see previous entry). This is the way I'm going. I'm juiced about how the book turned out. To think, using over the counter desktop software, one is able to generate a professional looking book...well, create the files so that a printing service may take what you've done, and produce a product that is indistinguishable from like units found in any book store.

I'm doing one final sweep of the book. I want to read it yet again; this time the actual book and not the manuscript, and just give it another once over. This should take me about a week. After that, it's on.

Remember ya'll, you are bearing witness to a brand new genre....

Making some changes

cover

htp (peace)

Okay, so after I received my books, I noticed a few things that needed changing. I also gave the picture a vector treatment. This gives an abstract feel to the image concept. Lots of space on the back cover. I'll add blurbs after I receive them. I plan to go through LULU, and Amazon via LULU's distribution program. I'm currently raising the money to print a few thousand copies. I'll then sell directly from the site.

They're here!!!!

Just received the first eight copies of my novel! They look kewl. I need to make a few adjustments here and there, and then I'll set 'em free. The initial eight are not for sell. I have to send these babies out for review. What's weird, is now I'm more scared then ever. What if people hate it? Mind games...

Waiting for my advance copies!

For those who don't know, I received the final edit on my manuscript. This is a novel that I actually completed back in 1997. Sure, I edited it a couple of times... 5, but I wanted to have a professional scrub-job done on the manuscript. My cover is mostly done, though there are a few things I need to add. Anyway, I sent the almost done cover and the manuscript; both in pdf format, off to the printers. I'll get eight copies in the mail in about a week or so.

Two copies will go to the Library of Congress. I'm sending four off for review by other authors. That will leave me with two copies left. Mom gets a signed copy of coarse. I plan to visit the local book stores, setup some book signings and what not. After everything is ready, I'll have the books printed up, and start pounding the pavement.

Final Copy Edit received!!!!!

htp (peace)

Today is a good day. I just received the final edit on my manuscript!!! You know, the one I've been talking about for years. I'm juiced about that. I'll give the book a quick once-over, then I'll get that cover (mostly done) finalized. I need another $1000 in order to print the amount of books I originally set for myself. While raising the money, I'll have a few pre-sales copies printed up and submitted to various folks for review and blurbs. I'll keep you posted.

Getting back to Lightwave...

nahsu-LW
... because I took a break to work on the NETERS™ prequel novella, and rebuild my wage page; took a day to do the site over. I still have to put my links up. Guess I'll do that tomorrow. The above is a picture of Nahsu (ta-earth), as rendered in Lightwave. People always tell me they laugh when they figure out that the planet before them is earth. Seems the natural way to view to me...

Anyway, just needed to get another look at the toon render. I have to make sure that I keep things as consistent as possible for all future NETERS™ projects.

issue one of NETERS

I thought issue one of NETERS™ would be easy. I mean after all, it's a re-telling of what I put online... right? Nope. Everything is being redesigned from the ground up. I'm even doing away with the traditional 3D renders, and going for a cartoon or cell shade look. But I digress. for more information about all things NETERS™, checkout NETERS.TV.
